Not everyone can picture themselves behind the wheel of an electric car right now. But, this July, you won’t have to picture anything: you’ll be able to test drive a range of electric cars and immerse yourself in the experience of owning and running the vehicle at EV LIVE.
We’ll be the headline sponsor for this year's EV LIVE, which will return for a second year at Blenheim Palace after a successful 2022 event that welcomed over 12,000 attendees. EV LIVE provides an opportunity for you to really get to know electric vehicles and see how they’d fit into your lifestyle. Even if you’ve never considered electric, you can still come for a coffee. Leading electric car brands will be available to test drive on the day, and you’ll be able to take them through the grounds of Blenheim Palace itself and out into the Cotswold countryside. In addition to the test drive, you’ll also have opportunity to speak to industry experts on everything from home charging solutions to different ownership options. Auto Trader will be there, giving attendees an exclusive in-person look at July’s EV Giveaway prize and a chance to enter the giveaway. We’ll have experts on hand to talk you through the different stages of buying an electric car, with Q&As over the weekend and a rather cool AR experience you can use to explore different cars and chargers.

When is EV LIVE?

EV LIVE will be held across the 7th, 8th and 9th July 2023 at Blenheim Palace.
Entrance to EV LIVE is included in the standard ticket price for entry to Blenheim Palace, and the event is open to all Blenheim Palace visitors to attend. For more details and to buy tickets just visit www.blenheimpalace.com Events, including test drives and expert panels, will start at 10am and end at 5pm. You won’t need to pre-book any specific events, though test drive slots will be limited (and popular) so pre-booking is advised. Don’t worry if you don’t get booked on though, as some test drives will be available to be booked on the day, so don't forget to bring your driving licence and get a DVLA check code no more than 21 days in advance of your visit. As well as electric cars and charging solutions, EV LIVE will also showcase the best of green living and lifestyles, including solar energy, battery storage, heat pumps and plant-based foods.

Who’s going to be at EV LIVE?

Over 100 companies will be on hand to talk to you about owning and charging EVs, including Tesla, Ford, Nissan and Hyundai plus newcomer brands like BYD and GWM ORA who will all be offering test drives of their latest models and advice on EV ownership, alongside a wide range of other cars from major manufacturers to see and test drive too.
Test drives available on the weekend will include: • Tesla Model Y and Model 3Ford Mach-ENissan Ariya & Nissan LeafHyundai Ioniq 5 and Hyundai KONABYD Atto 3GWM ORA Funky Cat Electric vehicles are still a daunting prospect, with lots of new jargon, abbreviations and slang to wade through before you get the technical specifications of battery size, charging time and fueling methods. If you’re curious about how electric would work for you, but you’d rather someone sit down and talk you through it all, EV LIVE is a brilliant opportunity for you to get your answers with no-obligation to buy.

What else can I do at Blenheim Palace?

EV LIVE is the main event, with a range of immersive, educational and entertaining features centered around EVs and sustainable living, but Blenheim Palace offers a great family day out.
The UNESCO world heritage site has been home to the Dukes of Marlborough since 1705, and is also the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, whose father described the Estate’s vista as the ‘finest view in England’. The Palace is surrounded with over 2,000 acres of ‘Capability’ Brown parkland and stunning Formal Gardens, with tours and exhibitions available. Blenheim Palace started electrifying their estate fleet of vehicles in 2018, and have since installed EV charging points on the estate. The Palace is committed to becoming carbon neutral on scopes 1-3 of the Greenhouse Gas (GHG) protocol across all its operations by 2027 and, beyond that, to remove 230,000 tonnes CO2e from the atmosphere by 2050.
