Footballers are known for their luxurious and sporty cars almost as well as they’re known for their sports prowess, but which Footballer on the England team has the best car?
We want you to decide. Whilst we can’t control who wins in the FIFA World Cup, you can take part in deciding who wins Auto Trader’s very own World Cup of Cars 2022 by heading over to vote on our Facebook page. There’s a new vote each weekday, with the final to kick-off on Tuesday 13th December. Make sure you get your vote in by 9am each morning for it to count! Let the games begin.

Battle One

First up we have two luxury SUVs going head-to-head; the Italian Lamborghini Urus versus the German Mercedes-AMG G63.

Lamborghini Urus

Built with a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the Urus is one of the fastest production SUVs in the world, boasting 657 horsepower in the latest model with the ability to go from 0-60mph in as little as 3.2 seconds.
Lamborghini’s high-performance Urus takes its name from an extinct cattle species called the Aurochs, which is thought to be the wild ancestor of modern domestic cattle as we know it. You can find used Lamborghini Urus available now on Auto Trader in excellent condition from £174,995* here. Want to see it in action? Watch Rory Reid review the Lamborghini Urus Performante here. *Correct at the point of writing.

Mercedes-AMG G63

Winner of Auto Trader’s Best Luxury Car Award 2021, the Mercedes-Benz G-Class is an iconic piece of German engineering with a clear bloodline back to the 1979 original
Where the Urus combines supercar styling with modern SUV swagger the G63 is a more traditional 4x4, its signature boxy styling and, in this latest version, 577 horsepower engine seeing it to just shy of 150mph. Perhaps not as fast as the Urus on a paved road. But when the going gets rough the G-Class can get to places the Lamborghini could only dream of. If you’re in the market for a luxury Merc, you can find used Mercedes-AMG G63 available on Auto Trader here. Will Mercedes beat Lamborghini in round one? Find out who won on our Facebook page.

Battle Two

Next up we have Aston Martin taking on Maserati in an all-out sports car battle.

Aston Martin Vantage

Scoring a rave review from Auto Trader’s Editorial Director, Erin Baker, the Vantage is a powerful and dynamic British sports car. Powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, the Vantage makes 510 horsepower to reach a top speed of 195mph.

Maserati GranTurismo

Up against the Vantage, we have another Italian masterpiece; the Maserati GranTurismo.
First seen in 2007 and with a brand-new version now on the way, the GranTurismo is a reinvention of the classic Italian sporting tourer, the outgoing model evolving over the years to eventually use a Ferrari-derived V8 engine with 460 horsepower that gives the car the soundtrack to match the stunning looks. Who will cross the metaphorical finish line first? Head over to our Facebook page to find out.
