Mercedes-Benz seem poised to revolutionise the electric car market with the new Concept CLA. A ground-breaking concept car, the Concept CLA showcases cutting-edge technology, impressive range, and an attractive price point. Will it set a new standard for electric vehicles?

The Concept CLA promises game-changing batteries

The Mercedes-Benz Concept CLA has a number of talking points, chief among them its unprecedented range, said to be an astounding 466 miles on a single charge. If this claim holds true in production, it would surpass any other electric vehicle on the market.
The Concept CLA offers two battery options with different cell chemistries and advanced technology: top-tier models will have silicon oxide anode batteries for better energy density, while entry-level models will have lithium-ion phosphate batteries for affordability. All batteries use an 800-volt architecture, which makes them smaller, lighter, and compatible with rapid charging, which could provide up to 248 miles of range in just 15 minutes.

Stand-out design could see Mercedes-Benz win legions of fans

A strong design is a key aspect of any luxury brand, and the Concept CLA pushes Mercedes into new territory.
A bold grille adorned with 274 illuminated stars creates a striking visual impact, while the distinctive shark-nose design carries that elegance into the body. A sleek, slim light band that spans the width of the car makes it stand out day and night. Five-spoke 21-inch wheels further emphasise the vehicle's sporty and luxurious aesthetic.

Interior innovation includes an onboard supercomputer

The Concept CLA is equipped with a state-of-the-art supercomputer powered by Nvidia, which employs AI and machine learning to enhance safety.
A Super Screen extends across the entire width of the cabin, with an interface that allows passengers to seamlessly interact with the car's functions. Mercedes has also incorporated sustainable and eco-friendly materials like 100% recycled textures on the dashboard, artificial silk and even leather tanned using coffee beans.

A glimpse into the future

By combining ground-breaking technology with an eye-catching design and an unprecedented range, the Concept CLA provides an exciting glimpse of what's to come from Mercedes-Benz. It could set a new standard for electric vehicles worldwide.
