Like all our awards, this category was decided by feedback collated from a survey of more than 60,000 car owners, all of whom rated their car in 16 key areas. Commenting on the Duster’s victory in this category, Auto Trader’s road test editor Ivan Aistrop, said: “It’s important to stress that ‘value’ doesn’t necessarily mean ‘cheap’, but even so, the Duster is amazingly affordable for a car of its size and type. There’s much more to it than just affordability, though. It looks great, it’s practical enough for a family and the higher-spec versions are even available with plenty of luxury kit and four-wheel drive.
