Try

Citroën ë-C3
The Citroën ë-C3 is a small hatchback in mini-SUV clothing, by which we mean it’s agile enough to fit into tight parking spaces, yet its boxy shape helps make it practical and roomy inside. Under the surface the ë-C3 has a lot in common with the Fiat Grande Panda and the Vauxhall Frontera, but each car has a distinctive personality: the Fiat is fun, the Vauxhall is practical and the Citroen is all about comfort. We enjoyed driving the ë-C3 Urban Range version recently, although it’s the standard range model we’d recommend which adds a touch more range for a very marginal extra cost. Currently, Citroen is offering 24-hour test drives across its electric range so you have the chance to really get to know the car. If you’re not sure you want to commit to buying one outright, there are also some great leasing offers available on ë-C3s which could be well-worth considering.

Buy

Honda Super-N
If you’re into Japanese car culture, the Honda Super-N will be right up your street with its retro-inspired looks and ‘kei’ car proportions. Yet, the beauty of the Super-N is it is equally charming even if Japanese Domestic Market (JDM) cars aren’t your thing. If you simply want a small, affordable and fun electric car with low running costs, the Super-N is still a winner and the fact it comes in bright purple is just an added bonus. Oh, and it also has virtual gear changes and a ‘Boost’ button, too. Hmmm… on reflection maybe this is an EV built especially for car nerds, but if that is you, we think you should go out and buy a Honda Super-N now!

Dream

Denza Z
If you are looking for a sportscar and you think the Porsche 911 is too obvious and you’ve not fallen for the charms of the sexy Maserati GranTurismo, perhaps the Denza Z could be the car you’re dreaming of. This triple-motor electric car packs a whopping 1,605 horsepower and, after a short spin around the circuit at Goodwood, it has left us eager for more. From the shark-like looks to the bright metallic paint, this Chinese newcomer means business. It oozes with ambition, confidence and determination, so if that’s your vibe, BYD’s premium performance sub-brand could be your kindred spirit.
