Luxury cars like Bentleys and Rolls-Royce have always been synonymous with comfort, but Citroën is bringing it back to the masses with its all-new flagship C5 X and the promise of the ultimate in comfort.
So, are you ready to jump in the possibly most comfortable family car with us? Find out more in our latest video.

How comfortable is the Citroën C5 X?

Citroën has carefully designed the C5 X to provide an upmarket feel and driving experience. The Citroën Advanced Comfort seats come as a standard and, according to Rory, feels nicely soft and plush.
To take comfort a step further, the petrol models use hydraulic bump stops – effectively a fluid-filled cushion to soften the impact of harsh bumps rather than the solid rubber blocks found in most suspension systems. Going a step further, plug-in hybrid models come with a variable adaptive suspension, which you can adjust amongst the different driving modes to get a super comfy driving experience.

How practical is the Citroën C5 X?

From Rory’s first impressions the new Citroën C5 X seems nice and roomy for a family car, with plenty of leg- and headroom front and rear.
Besides the usual cubby spaces for your bits and bobs in the interior, the C5 X has a huge electronically operated boot with 545 litres of storage space in the petrol model and 485 litres in the hybrid version. The boot also comes with rails that make it easy to slide heavy objects in and out while its ‘magic handle’ means you can flatten the rear seats for big loads in a one-touch operation. The Citroën C5 X also comes with various advanced driver assistance systems including hands-free access to open your car when your hands are full of stuff to fill that ample storage space.
