The XC60 slots between the XC40 and the XC90 in the line-up and it has been Volvo’s top-seller for nearly a decade. However, a lot has changed since the XC60 first arrived and now has its all-electric EX60 sibling to contend with. So, does the XC60 have what it takes to stand out in 2026? In this video Rory Reid puts the recently updated XC60 through its paces.
What’s new, then? Not much really. On the outside Volvo has stuck with its tried and tested formula but it has made some subtle design tweaks like removing the chrome details and adding some new paint colours. Inside it’s a similar story. There is a new option of leather-free upholstery, but otherwise it all looks very familiar. However, there is one more notable change: the infotainment system has had an upgrade. Is it an improvement, though? Rory has some thoughts.
Following an initial tour Rory takes this family-friendly Volvo for a spin. Will he be impressed by his range-topping plug-in hybrid test car? The XC60 certainly has a couple of surprises up its sleeve. So, has Volvo done enough to keep the XC60 relevant? You’ll have to watch the video to find out.
