This month’s selection of cars to try out, buy or simply dream about

Trying a car has never been easier - lots of car brands now offer subscription services on a monthly basis, with no down payment or exit fee so you can swap in and out of different models with minimal notice. Or you can lock in for longer, on a leasing deal, which still means you just pay a monthly amount and hand the car back at the end of the deal.
Then there’s the Buy choice, whether it’s paying for the car with cash or signing up to a fixed term finance deal with the option to buy the car at the end. These are cars that make good long-term sense. And finally our fave section, for dreamers everywhere. The new luxe stuff, the wishlist option or the treat yourself splurge, depending on how big that imagined windfall might be. Enjoy this month’s offerings!

Toyota bZ4X
Toyota has a wealth of experience producing hybrids and now it is applying this to fully electric cars too. While the bZ4X doesn’t have the catchiest name, it has bold styling with rugged wheel arches and echoes of the new C-HR. If you are considering an electric SUV the bZ4X is a solid competitor to the Skoda Enyaq and Nissan Ariya. To help you make the switch, Toyota has designed KINTO Flex, a subscription service allowing you to try out its cars for a fixed monthly cost with insurance, maintenance and tax all included. This provides more flexibility so you could find out how the bZ4X fits into your lifestyle without a long-term commitment and if you discover it isn’t for you, then you could swap into a hybrid like the Yaris Cross instead.

Buy

Vauxhall Grandland
The Vauxhall Grandland has had a major glow-up and is now a much more stylish family SUV. It’s available with a choice of engines, so you could either go all-electric or choose from a selection of petrol and hybrid alternatives. The Grandland comes with a good level of standard kit, plenty of space and the latest safety technology. It might not be the most flamboyant design, but it looks smart with its ‘visor’ between the front headlights and we particularly like the contrasting roof on higher level trims. Vauxhall is keen to make the switch to electric accessible, so it’s offering compelling finance deals to prevent monthly payments looking too chunky.

The Sleep Pack is also available on the new Duster and the upcoming Bigster, so there’s something for everyone. Whether your ideal trip includes wild swimming, paddle boarding or anything in between, a Sleep Pack provides the flexibility to embrace the great outdoors and plan your dream getaway.
