Even the stereotypical mid-life crisis is moving into the electric age, the blokes of a certain age who might once have spent large chunks of money on a noisy motorcycle now just as likely to splash the same on a fancy electric mountain bike for playing out in the woods with their mates like they did when they were little boys. Just with (much) more expensive toys.

Perhaps smart that Honda, who might once have catered to the former with petrol-fuelled Fireblades and Africa Twins, is now moving into the latter with this very snazzy looking RN0 e-bike, sharing much of its design inspiration and engineering savvy with the noisy motocross bikes it still builds for those so inclined. And, whisper it, might actually cost you less than what you see here.
Moving swiftly on, for those so inclined you can geek out over the technology, parts and specification in our deep-dive on the Autotrader e-bikes page.

But across cars, motorcycles, scooters and now bicycles it seems Honda’s electrified journey continues apace. Even on its more red-blooded and still petrol-fuelled products, the wild V3R 900 E-Compressor on show right now at the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan combining an unusual V3 combustion engine with an electrically-driven turbocharger for those who really want to put that mid-life crisis into fast-forward!
