As ‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ hits the big screens, it can only mean one thing – Miranda Priestly is back with her signature sharp tailoring and her even more cutting one-liners. We can’t wait to see the film, and judging by the trailers the glamourous ice queen is showing no sign of melting as she effortlessly dons her designer shades and glides off in the back of a Maybach S-Class. This perfect paring of haute couture and one of the world’s most luxurious cars got us thinking about what happens when world of cars and fashion collide.
There have been some truly iconic collaborations between fashion houses and car brands over the years and here are some of our favourites.
There have been some truly iconic collaborations between fashion houses and car brands over the years and here are some of our favourites.
Mini and Paul Smith

Kicking off our list is Sir Paul Smith’s partnership with Mini. A match made in heaven as both brands know how to inject fun, colour and humour into their designs. Smith brings a playful approach which of course involves his signature brightly coloured stipes. It all began in the 1990s with the more understated “Paul Smith Blue” Mini which was quickly followed by a louder and prouder multi-coloured striped car to celebrate Mini’s 40th anniversary. More recently Smith was involved in the Mini Strip project, which removed all but the essentials to create a minimalist car featuring recycled and sustainably-sourced materials. Today the iconic brands have joined forces once again, adding a Paul Smith Edition trim level to the Mini Electric Cooper range featuring exclusive colours and a quirky stripy interior which will look right at home on the streets of Notting Hill. With more Mini models due to get the Paul Smith treatment soon, you can complete the look by grabbing a Paul Smith x Mini tote bag and an oat milk latte.

Fiat 500 and Gucci

Oh the Fiat 500, as much a symbol of Italy as the Colosseum. Nothing encapsulates la dolce vita like a 500, but what if you are after something a little more unique to make an even bigger statement? The Fiat 500 by Gucci could be for you. This is just one of several collaborations between Fiat and Italian designers over the years – others include Deisel and Giorgio Armani – which have made an already stylish car even more fashionable. The limited-edition Gucci version was available in white or black and featured a signature Gucci stripe wrapping around the car’s body. Alternatively, there was a convertible option with the stripe adorning the canvas roof instead. The cars also had a Gucci-branded interior with stripy seats and seatbelts adding to the kerb appeal. It paired perfectly with matching Gucci sunglasses and handbags, making it just the ticket for a long weekend by the Amalfi Coast.

Jaguar Type 00 and Paris Fashion Week

Fashion provides an opportunity to be bold and express yourself – an ethos Jaguar embodied with its ‘Copy Nothing’ campaign and the futuristic all-electric Type 00 Concept. The Type 00 Concept has been proving colour can be just as important to a design as shape. Following its initial reveal at the Miami Art Week, the Type 00 toured the most prestigious global events becoming as instantly recognisable as the celebrities selected to drive it. First seen in ‘Miami Pink’ and ‘London Blue’ in Miami, for Paris Fashion Week the Type 00 was adorned in striking ‘French Ultramarine’ and it has since been seen wearing ‘London Red’ at one of Jaguar’s exclusive brand stores in Knightsbridge. Meanwhile, elements of the car’s design have been translated to the 4-door GT Jaguar we expect to spot parked outside Harrods as soon as it’s available to buy.

Omoda and London Fashion Week

Omoda aims to offer a modern, high-end aesthetic without the premium price tag. The brand took a leaf out of Jaguar’s book by becoming the Official Automotive Partner at London Fashion Week in 2026. While you might not immediately imagine this Chinese newcomer rubbing shoulders with designers and fashionistas, Omoda describes itself as a “design-led mobility brand” positioning itself as the more stylish sibling compared to Jaecoo’s outdoorsy vibe and Chery’s focus on value. The event was used to debut the Omoda 7, a sharp-looking mid-size SUV brimming with tech and creature comforts aimed squarely at a young, fashion-focused audience.

Range Rover Evoque and Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham has always been well-known for her sense of style, so what better way to elevate one of Britain’s most premium brands than to work with Posh Spice herself. The iconic 2012 Range Rover Evoque Special Edition was all about taking what was already a plush SUV and making it even more deluxe. The VB-approved version included a tan leather interior with hand finished stitching, rose gold highlights and hand-finished matt paint. To up to lux-factor further each car came with an owner’s manual signed by Victoria and presented in a hand-sewn leather wallet, plus you also got a four-piece leather luggage set – a must-have for weekends away in the Cotswolds.

Maserati and Ermenegildo Zegna

More Italian icons now: Maserati and Zegna. Both exude elegance and sophistication with their timeless designs and effortless flair. The partnership began with a limited-edition Quattroporte paired with a menswear clothing collection for the discerning gent about town. Later, more Quattroporte, Ghibli and Levante models got the Zegna treatment with silk interiors and buttery soft, woven leather Pelletessuta upholstery. Each car showcased exquisite craftsmanship with unique textiles and stitching. Naturally an array of luggage and accessories were also on offer to complete the look. Milano here we come. Bellissima!

All these and many more examples go to show cars are some much more than pieces of metals, instead they are arguably the ultimate fashion statement. So, you don’t have to be Miranda Priestly to have a car which complements your outfit … that’s all.
