Any new Lamborghini needs certain things. A massive engine. Huge performance. Mad looks. The sense it might chew you up and spit out the pieces if you can’t tame it.
The new Temerario is certainly fast, as Rory finds out in dramatic style the first time he sends it for real in it in this video. Faster than anything he’s ever tested before at his local test track, indeed. The numbers are insane as well – 920 horsepower, 0-62mph in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of over 200mph. Proven. But it’s how it delivers that incredible performance that has Rory worried, especially compared with the Huracan it replaces. The engine is smaller, and a ‘mere’ V8 rather than a V10. It’s a plug-in hybrid, so heavier, more complicated and more … electrified. And the looks are somehow understated. Or they are by Lamborghini standards.
