  • Mustang Bullitt celebrates famous film’s 50th anniversary
  • Available in black or green
  • Production starts in June
The Ford Mustang Bullitt has been shown off for the first time in Europe, with Ford confirming that the special edition will make it to the UK and be made in right-hand drive.
The edition has been created in homage to the famous film, Bullitt, staring Steve McQueen, which celebrates its 50th anniversary in 2018. It only seems appropriate that the Mustang Bullitt comes with the more powerful version of the car’s two engines – the 5.0-litre V8 – but it also comes with a slight enhancement to the induction system and a few tweaks from the Shelby Mustang GT350. As a result, it comes with an expected 464 horsepower, a 14-horsepower boost over the standard 2018 car.
To mark the Bullitt out from the standard car, it comes with a choice of a black or dark green paintjob, bespoke 19-inch alloy wheels, red brake callipers, a ‘Bullitt’ fuel filler cap, and a selection of chrome details around the grille and front windows, and a bespoke black grille.
Inside, it gets a unique Bullitt welcome screen on the infotainment system, with an image of the car in the place of the usual Mustang Pony that starts up on the standard car. It also gets green stitching on the seats and a while cue-ball gearshift knob. Pricing will be announced closer to the car’s June on sale date.
