Fiat 600 (2024 –) review
The characterful Fiat 600 gets a mild hybrid engine creating an affordable alternative to the 600e

The Autotrader expert verdict:
Available new from £23,995
The 600 is aimed directly at those who love the retro vibe of the 500 but need a little more space. We’ve already driven the all-electric 600e and now a mild hybrid option has been added to the range to provide more choice for those not quite ready to make the switch to electric. With this Fiat is following the same precedent set out by the closely related Jeep Avenger, Vauxhall Mokka and Peugeot 2008 which are all offered with a variety of fuel types. The 600 Hybrid makes a distinctive and appealing splash thanks to its friendly looks, bright paint colours and decent fuel economy, but entry-level models are low on creature comforts and competitors such as the Renault Captur provide better value for money.
Reasons to buy:
- Characterful styling
- Vibrant colour options
- Frugal engine
