Genesis Motor, commonly known as Genesis, is owned and operated by Hyundai Motor Company as its luxury cars division. While much of the design and development is carried out in Germany the cars themselves are built in Korea.
Genesis is owned by the Hyundai Motor Group. Originally, Genesis was introduced by Hyundai as a car model under the name of Hyundai. In 2015, Genesis was introduced as its own brand and the G90 was the first model sold under the brand name Genesis.
