Head spinning at the arrival of yet another new Chinese brand? Don’t expect that to stop any time soon, Changan the latest to hit the UK with the promise of a full range of electric and hybrid models in the not too distant future. The first is this Deepal S07, a sleek and competitively priced electric SUV aimed squarely the likes of the VW ID.4. While styled in Europe the somewhat generic looks have hints of the ever-popular MG4, though the Deepal is considerably more premium in ambition and price. It still looks cracking value against European equivalents, and has a level of polish absent in many of its Chinese rivals. An impressive opening gambit.
Reasons to buy:
- One trim level with everything included
- Feels well-built
- Seven-year warranty
