Who are YesAuto?

YesAuto are an online car buying platform that launched in the UK in August 2020. They offer used and new cars, alongside the option to ‘build your own’ car using a configurator. Other site features include user review ratings and a 360 degree car view tool that uses virtual reality (VR) to show you the car.

How is YesAuto different to Auto Trader?

YesAuto offer more than 60 car brands on its site, including Audi, BMW, Nissan, Mercedes-Benz, Vauxhall and Volkswagen. Auto Trader have over 100 car brands for you to choose from.

Auto Trader

Auto Trader let you buy or sell more than 450,000 used, approved-used and brand-new cars. Besides cars, we advertise bikes, motorhomes, caravans, trucks, plant and farm machinery. We also offer car leasing, (PCP) and hire purchase (HP) deals.

YesAuto

YesAuto provide a variety of cars to choose from, with over 165,000 new and used cars listed on their site (as of 28/09/2021). They also offer finance through Zuto and leasing deals.

Both YesAuto and Auto Trader employ various filters, customer ratings and car reviews to help you find the best deal.

Genuine ratings and reviews

YesAuto feature a customer rating system that draws from owner reviews to score cars out of five. Auto Trader adverts feature a five-point rating system, rated by genuine customers, as well as our in-house experts. Besides this, you can also see the ratings of the dealer selling the car.

Key specs and budgeting

Auto Trader adverts also include key information on the car’s condition, like mileage and previous owners. Cars listed by dealerships on Auto Trader also include a price indicator. This shows you, at a glance, how the price compares to similar cars so you can see how good a deal you’re getting. Where available, we also provide the latest model’s tax and insurance to help you budget.

Refine your search to make finding easy

Auto Trader offer a wide range of filters including body type, mileage, colour, gearbox and fuel type to name a few. You can also search by total price or monthly price as suits you. If you prefer to receive your vehicle through home delivery or click and collect, you can add filters to your search accordingly.

Choice of stock

YesAuto launched with used and new cars from dealers. They also have the option to customise the features and specifications of a new car for a price estimate.

Valuing your car

YesAuto’s website encourages users to do their research and price their car according to similar stock or use a free valuation tool.

Auto Trader have a free online car valuation, which helps ensure you’re getting the fairest price point when buying or selling your car.

Checking vehicle history

YesAuto’s website does not reference vehicle history checks.

All vehicles listed on Auto Trader undergo a basic vehicle check before they are listed. This check ensures it hasn’t been recorded as stolen, scrapped, imported, exported, or written off.

Auto Trader encourage retailers and private sellers listing their cars to conduct and display a full history check, which gives information on outstanding finance, recorded mileage and more.

Saving and comparing adverts

YesAuto have a comparison tool, which lets users compare up to four selected cars side-by-side. This is auto populated by information made available in listings.

On Auto Trader, you can compare unlimited cars with a free account.

Save and compare unlimited vehicles

Auto Trader allow you to save and compare as many vehicles as you like to get a clearer picture of the key features of each vehicle. This is possible when you sign-up for a free account. You can save and compare vehicles even without an account, but you’ll be limited to comparing up to four cars at a time on Auto Trader. Either way, you’ll be able to compare key features such as gearbox and engine size, dealer ratings, vehicle ratings and price of each vehicle side-by-side.

Get notified about your dream car

If you’re after something specific and it isn’t listed on Auto Trader, you can save your search and we’ll send you a notification when a car that matches your search criteria is added. All you have to do is choose the make and model of the car you’re looking for and press save search – we’ll do the rest of the searching for you. This can save you time, and help you get notified so you can reach out to the dealer as soon as the car is listed on Auto Trader.
