Volkswagen launches top-spec Transporter Sportline

The new top-spec Volkswagen Transporter Sportline adds luxury design flourishes to Panel Van and Kombi models of the popular medium van

Volkswagen has announced the launch of the new Transporter Sportline edition of its popular medium van… the iconic Volkswagen Transporter. This top-spec variant adds premium touches, high-quality design upgrades and new tech to the existing van’s Panel and Kombi models. But that’s not all… a super-duper special edition of the Sportline, the Sportline 75, will also be available in limited numbers (75, to be precise) to celebrate 75 years of the Volkswagen bus and 20 years of sports vans.

What are the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline’s exterior upgrades?

Sportline’s exterior includes new front and rear bumpers, a rear spoiler, gloss black grille, mirror caps and badging, side skirts, roof rails and a 29mm lowered suspension setup. It will also feature exclusive 19-inch dual-finish alloy wheels, Matrix LED headlights, and a Sportline signature red grille.

What are the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline’s interior upgrades

Inside, Sportline features embossed, hand-crafted eco-leather sports seats with red stitching, a heated leather steering wheel and Sportline-branded floor mats. Additional features include illuminated metal scuff plates, footwell lighting, high-gloss black display surrounds and illuminated sun visors.

What safety systems will the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline have?

Sportline includes several safety systems including keyless access with SAFELOCK, area view camera, heated and powered folding mirrors, and the Transporter’s advanced driver assistance systems as standard.

What is the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline’s availability and pricing?

Sportline is available in early 2026 with OTR prices starting from £62,752 for the short wheelbase panel van and £63,796 for the long wheelbase. Prices for the five-seat Kombi model start from £65,128 for short wheelbase and £66,172 for long wheelbase.

What will the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline 75 be like?

Celebrating 75 years since the iconic Volkswagen Bus went into production, a limited-run Transporter Sportline 75 Special Edition is also available. Only 75 units will be produced, featuring exclusive Moss Green solid paint, bespoke contrast green stitching on the upholstery and steering wheel, and mirror caps with a ‘Sportline 75’ logo. Each vehicle will be individually numbered, and customer registrations open in early 2026. OTR prices start from £64,552 for the panel van model and from £66,928 for the Kombi model.

What powertrains and warranty will the Volkswagen Transporter Sportline be available with?

These new Sportline versions of the Transporter will be available in diesel, eHybrid and all-electric powertrains, and will be covered by Volkswagen’s 5+ Promise warranty and service plan. This excellent coverage consists of three services, three MOTs, a five-year warranty and five years of roadside assistance.
