Skoda UK has confirmed the development of a commercial Cargo variant of the Enyaq. The new model will be available exclusively to fleet customers via Skoda’s Area Fleet Managers at launch, but it’s not difficult to imagine that the vehicle will be available to smaller businesses shortly after. Launch date is still to be confirmed.
Here’s everything we know so far: - The new Enyaq Cargo model is fully compliant with LCV regulations - It has been developed by Skoda UK and engineering firm Strongs Plastic Products - The Cargo model is available on the Enyaq 85 and the all-wheel drive Enyaq 85x battery powertrains - The Enyaq Cargo will be available to fleet customers through the Skoda retail network

Design And Models Available

The new Enyaq Cargo is based on the Enyaq passenger car platform and aside from its load space looks identical to the passenger models. It has been jointly developed by Skoda UK and engineering firm Strongs Plastic Products.

Cargo And Practicality

The load area is constructed using high-strength, low-weight plastic materials and features a lightweight bulkhead separating the cabin from the cargo space. The Enyaq Cargo will offer a range of flexible configurations tailored to meet the unique storage needs of business customers (see pictures).

Engine / Powertrain

The Enyaq Cargo is derived from the Edition 85 and all-wheel-drive SportLine 85x passenger models, which offer a WLTP combined range of 359 miles and 332 miles, respectively. Both variants support DC rapid charging, with the Enyaq 85 capable of charging at up to 135 kW and the 85x at 175 kW, allowing a 10-80% charge in around 28 minutes.

Price And Release

Skoda models have been adapted for commercial use in the past, but this is the first time a battery electric model has been offered. The Enyaq Cargo will be available exclusively to fleet customers with the Enyaq Edition 85 starting from £44,310 OTR and conversion prices starting from £1,815+VAT with final pricing depending on an individual’s specification.
