New Dacia Duster Cargo launches in the UK

A cargo variant of the Dacia Duster has launched in the UK offering van drivers a new choice in the growing car-derived market. The Duster Cargo is available with a mild or full hybrid powertrain, can carry payloads of up to 430kg, and is available for a competitive price starting at just under £23K excluding VAT.

The Dacia Duster Cargo’s load space provides 1149 litres of space and can carry a payload of up to 430kg. The load space has been created by a simple conversion process of removing the back seats, levelling off the space and blacking out the back windows with a dark film. This area is separated from the passenger area by a metal mesh bulkhead, and four lashing points are added to the floor. A full-length removable load cover is added to protect your cargo, while rubber mats on the floor protect the vehicle’s interior.

The Duster Cargo is available with a choice of two electrified petrol engines, one featuring an advanced hybrid powertrain, and the other is a mild hybrid version coupled with 4x4 transmission for all-terrain driving.

The hybrid 155 model combines a 109 horsepower four-cylinder petrol engine with two electric motors (a 50 hp motor and a high-voltage starter / generator), a 1.4 kWh battery and an automatic electric gearbox. It has four gears for the ICE engine and two for the electric motors, with regen braking keeping the battery topped up.
The mild hybrid 130 model combines a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine with a 48V motor. This powertrain is coupled with a 4x4 transmission and Dacia’s new 4x4 Terrain Control system that gives drivers a choice of five driving modes to match the terrain. This model also comes with an Adaptive Hill Descent Control system that automatically controls the Duster’s speed during steep descents.

Yes, the Dacia Duster Cargo is covered by a standard three-year/60,000-mile warranty. Drivers can take out an additional warranty package called Dacia Zen, which extends the warranty by one year for up to seven years or 75,000 miles.

The Dacia Duster Cargo is available in one trim level called ‘Expression’. Equipment highlights include:

The Dacia Duster Cargo is currently priced from £22,995 excluding VAT for the mild hybrid 130 4x4 version, and from £23,595 excluding VAT for the hybrid 155 version. Orders are now open and first deliveries are expected to get to customers before the end of 2025.
