Mitsubishi L200 Series 7 pricing revealed

We’ve already reported on the great news that Mitsubishi is bringing its L200 Series 7 pick-up truck to the UK this year, and now we know how much it will cost! The double-cab pick-up will start from £36,295 (OTR ex VAT) the Commercial model from £37,495 (OTR ex VAT), which just about puts it in the middle of the market.
Mitsubishi is no doubt aware it’s returning to a UK pick-up truck market where new brands are already debuting similar vehicles that undercut the L200’s newly-announced pricing. For example, the GWM Poer300 starts at just over £31K (OTR ex VAT) and you get a lot of truck for that money. However, the sub-£40K price for the L200’s top-trim Barbarian models will rub shoulders nicely with the amounts people would normally pay for a Ford Ranger or Toyota Hilux. It will be very interesting to see if the L200 can steal back its market share from before it left in 2021. But Sharon Townsend, Head of Mitsubishi Motors in the UK, is keen to push the brand’s positive reputation saying: “The tough new L200 is the most capable model yet offered, and delivers the versatility and dependability that define Mitsubishi’s pick-up heritage. The L200 Commercial builds on the proven strength and capability of the passenger model and will deliver a purpose-built solution tailored to the needs of business users.”

The L200 Series 7 will be available in two trim levels, Titan and Barbarian, priced at £36,295 (OTR ex VAT) and £39,995 (OTR ex VAT) respectively. Both trims come with a 2.4-litre bi-turbo diesel engine and with six-speed automatic gearbox, designed to work with the four-wheel drive system, as standard. The Barbarian trim level also gets Mitsubishi’s Super Select 4WD-II system. All models are capable of towing up to 3,500 kg and carrying over 1,000 kg in the load space. They also come with Mitsubishi’s strong five-year warranty and five years of pan-European breakdown assistance.

The new Mitsubishi L200 Commercial targets farmers, tradespeople and construction professionals as a dedicated two-seater following a cabin conversion that replaces the rear passenger area with a load compartment. The transformation is made in full compliance with UK commercial vehicle legislation, meaning users will benefit from 100 percent plant and machinery allowance and a flat benefit-in-kind (BIK) rate of £4,020. Both the Titan and Barbarian trim levels are available on the Commercial priced at £37,495 (OTR ex VAT) and £41,195 (OTR ex VAT).
