Rory Reid knows the Audi RS e-tron GT well. He lived with one for six months, competed against one in a drag race and he’s already had a sneak peek at the prototype for the updated 2025 model. Now, Audi has unveiled the new Audi RS e-tron GT in full and invited Rory to Germany to test it. It’s fair to say Rory was already a fan of the car, so what does he think of the updates?
In this video Rory tries out the Audi RS e-tron GT Performance – the first electric Audi to be bestowed with a Performance badge – and it certainly lives up to its name. When launch control is deployed it produces 925 horsepower making it the fastest accelerating production Audi to date. Once underway you’ll have access to 748 horsepower, but with the push a big red boost button you’ll have an extra 95 horsepower to play with for 10 seconds. However, straight line performance isn’t everything, does the new RS e-tron GT impress in the corners as well? Rory tries out the different driving modes to see how the adaptive suspension can change the cars behaviour and assesses if it’s an improvement on the previous car. Along with the updates under the hood the Audi RS e-tron GT gains some aesthetic tweaks too. There’s a new front bumper, new wheels, and a new rear diffuser. Rory’s Performance model also gets camouflage carbon details inside and out. Other interior updates include new seats and an updated infotainment system with integrated Alexa and ChatGPT. After taking the RS e-tron GT Performance for a drive on the road it’s time for Rory’s final verdict. Is the RS e-tron GT Performance the best RS e-tron GT yet? How close does it come to Porsche’s Taycan? If you enjoyed this video give it a like and let Rory know your thoughts on the Audi RS e-tron GT Performance in the YouTube comments.
