There’s no avoiding it, we are well into December and it’s time to get Christmas shopping (assuming you haven’t already started). To help make things easier for you, we’ve collated a list of presents we’d love to find under our tree on Christmas morning. Whether you are shopping for a car related gift for your children, your parents, your friends, or your partner we’ve got something for everyone.
Here’s our list of this year’s top presents for car enthusiasts.
Here’s our list of this year’s top presents for car enthusiasts.
AMG Driving Experience
Mercedes-Benz World provides a fun day out for all the family. There’s plenty to see and do whether you spend your time perusing the exhibitions or behind the wheel of a performance AMG. We recently had the full Mercedes-AMG experience learning how to control rear-wheel drive cars in the wet and honing our skills on the track with a professional driver. It was great fun, and we would thoroughly recommend it. Additionally, there are off-roading courses and passenger rides on offer, plus children can have a go if they are tall enough to reach the pedals.
Limited Edition photography
Limited100 was set up by Simon Wright and his Nottingham-based company produces wall art featuring professional photographs of classic cars. To add an element of exclusivity, as the name suggests, each piece is limited to just 100 and made bespoke to order. This is the perfect gift to brighten up the wall of any petrolhead.
Milltek Merch
Anyone into modifying their cars is bound to have heard of UK brand Milltek and its range of performance-enhancing exhaust systems. If your nearest and dearest are big fans, they’ll be excited to see there’s now a whole load of branded merchandise available including t-shirts, baseball caps and umbrellas.
Goodwood experience
Just like Mercedes-Benz World, there’s plenty to do at Goodwood from racing some of the Revival fleet around the track, to off-roading in rugged old Land Rovers. Whichever activity you choose it’s sure to prove a memorable gift they’ll talk about for years to come.
Radio-controlled GR Yaris
Given the price tag of this radio-controlled GR Yaris this is a toy for big kids rather than little ones. Made by Japanese model company Tamiya, this self-assembly GR Yaris kit comes with the all the stickers required to match the livery of the real car belonging to online specialist auction house, Collecting Cars. While a rather niche gift, it’s sure to work well for fans of the Collecting Cars community and its Coffee Run meet ups. The standard kit is also widely available if you fancy the same but in the works livery the real car wears in the WRC.
The Car You Always Promised Yourself Book
The all-new Ford Capri raised a few eyebrows when it was launched earlier this year, but why was the original such a success? Marketed as “The car you always promised yourself”, the Capri was the European answer to America’s Mustang and went on to become an icon of the 70s and 80s. Steve Saxty’s book explores the history of the Capri along with other Fords from the era and would make a perfect gift for blue oval fans.
Krazy Horse T-Shirt
A passion for cars and a love of motorbikes often goes hand-in-hand and Krazy Horse is a go-to for enthusiasts of both. It has everything from Morgans and Caterhams, to Royal Enfields and even all-electric Microlino quadricycles on offer, but if you are looking for stocking fillers rather than full-size vehicles, Krazy Horse is still worth a look. It stocks a range of biker gear, lifestyle clothing and even has its own line of merch.
An Aston Martin
Let’s face it, last year’s gift of a Ferrari is hard to top, so you’re going to have to make another strong statement this time around. An Aston Martin could be just the ticket and we think a Vanquish would make the ultimate present. With its shark-like good looks, a roaring V12 engine and a limited production run, this is the perfect gift for any wannabe James Bond and guaranteed to get you in their good books heading into 2025.
