Last year Hyundai brought us the boisterous, bonkers and totally brilliant Ioniq 5 N – Hyundai’s first electric car to get the sporty N treatment and a worthy winner of the Rory Reid Award 2024.
Now it’s the turn of the Ioniq 6 to get a glow-up courtesy of Hyundai’s N Division and, in this video, Rory talks us through the transformation. The Ioniq 6 N boasts 650 horsepower and a Porsche 911 Carrera 4S beating 0 to 62mph time of 3.2 seconds. It gets some distinctive styling upgrades too, helping it to stand out from your regular Ioniq 6 with its own unique lights at the front and back, a large wing and a new paint colour. Inside, the Ioniq 6N resembles the standard model, but you get a mixture of leather and Alcantara upholstery. However, the most exciting feature is the simulated gearchanges and the accompanying synthetic engine sound. We loved this addition to the Ioniq 5 N and Rory shares a taster of what it might be like in the 6 N, along with explaining the other signature N Division characteristics we can expect. You can tell Rory is excited about the Ioniq 6 N as he describes how the driving experience might differ from the 5 N, so make sure you subscribe to be the first to see when Rory gets behind the wheel. If you enjoyed this video give it a like and let Rory know if you’d prefer the Ioniq 5N or the 6N in the YouTube comments.
