Vauxhall teases a first glimpse of the new all-electric Corsa GSE coming soon
Vauxhall’s smallest car gets the sporty GSE treatment

Britain’s best-seling small car is getting a rally-inspired makeover for the electric age - enter the Vauxhall Corsa GSE. The Corsa GSE builds on Vauxhall’s hot hatches heritage which goes back to the 1980s Nova and it closely follows the arrival of the Mokka GSE which launched last year.

Design and models available
Vauxhall isn’t giving much away. All we’ve seen so far is a teaser image of a large wheel with yellow details and a matching yellow brake caliper. We expect the Corsa GSE will feature the same styling cues as the Mokka GSE with a chunky bodykit, contrasting black roof and plenty of yellow highlights.
Interior and tech
Vauxhall hasn’t revealed the Corsa GSE’s interior yet, but the Mokka GSE will give you a flavour of what we can expect – lots of Alcantara, yellow highlights and GSE logos to make it stand out from the regular Corsa models.
Batteries/range
Vauxhall hasn’t revealed the full details about the Corsa GSE yet. However, it will have a lot in common with Peugeot’s E-208 GTi and and the Mokka GSE, so we expect the Corsa will have around 280 horsepower and use the same 54kWh battery which provides around 200 miles of range.
Price and release
The Corse GSE will be available to order later in the year and we expect to hear more about pricing soon. It’ll likely to be cheaper than the Mokka GSE which starts at around £37,000.
What other cars from Vauxhall are due this year?
The Corsa GSE follows in the footsteps of the Mokka GSE which is available to order now. Later this year Vauxhall will be giving the Astra a refreshed look along with other updates like a new battery for the Astra Electric.
What other upcoming cars will this compete with?
This sporty electric Corsa will be up against the closely related Peugeot E-208 GTi which should be arriving later this year. In the meantime, other electric hot hatches include the Abarth 500e and the John Cooper Works version of the Mini Electric Cooper.
