The history of Rooney’s Lambo
This Italian supercar was originally owned by Wayne Rooney during his time playing for Manchester United and England’s national team in 2007. Shortly after Rooney purchased the car, he gifted it to his then teammate Carlos Tevez when he joined Manchester United in the summer of 2007.
When Tevez first arrived at the club, he drove the brand-new Audi issued by Manchester United to all of their players, but he quickly discovered that all of the team’s players drove supercars. When his choice of car became the club’s running joke, Rooney gifted him his Lamborghini to help save face and this was the beginning of the pair’s friendship during their short tenure together at United.

The Gallardo Spyder is an impressive machine, powered by a sonorous 5.0-litre naturally aspirated V10 engine, delivering 520 horsepower to all four wheels via a six-speed automated manual E-gear transmission with paddle shift.
