The Sustainability Initiative Award 2023 – Citroën

Reducing the impact of road transport is a huge challenge for car manufacturers, but a vital one both in terms of tangible benefits to the environment and also presenting a socially conscious image to increasingly engaged consumers.
So, there’s every incentive for the industry to clean up its act, and our Sustainability Initiative Award – judged by experts from the Carbon Literacy Project – recognises those going above and beyond to help reduce the impact of their business. Finalists Nissan and Volvo both deserve recognition for their efforts here but our winner this year is Citroën. From thinking outside of the box with creative transport solutions like the city-focused Ami electric ‘quadricycle’ to a broader programme of electrifying its regular range with a choice of stylish and affordable models, Citroën is working hard across the board to keep us all moving as efficiently as possible.
