The original and still the best, the Supercharger network is a big part of why Tesla owners love their cars with a passion
Whether you drive an EV or not you’ll have seen the ranks of new chargers being installed at motorway services and dedicated hubs all over the country, the network now extending to nearly 120,000 chargers of which nearly a quarter are classed as ‘rapid’ and capable of topping up at over 50kW.
This very visible improvement to the infrastructure helps build confidence for those considering the switch, but Tesla was there years ahead of everyone and its Supercharger network still ranks as your favourite for its coverage, ease of use and speed of charging.
“There when you need it and makes long distances easy,” said one Tesla owner, another saying: “The Tesla recharging infrastructure is better than most electric vehicle chargers in the UK.”
Time and again in our survey Tesla owners praise how easy the Supercharger network makes life with an electric vehicle, whether for local journeys or longer ones. The rest of the industry is doing a great job of catching up and giving non-Tesla drivers the same level of confidence. But the Supercharger network still sets the standard.
