We reviewed Hiplok’s anti-angle grinder DX1000 D-lock some time ago now and can report we’ve not had anything stolen while using it, which is good news!
At 2.6kg there’s no escaping it’s a heavy old piece of kit, though, and by the nature of locks they’re usually attached through mucky wheels, adjacent to oily chains or otherwise in proximity to stuff you don’t want smeared over the inside of your work back or rucksack.

Which is why we were glad to get this new sleeve Hiplok has created for carrying its D-locks. While the instructions expressly rule out attaching it to the outside of the bike via the mounting loops included, this does at least provide options for stopping it moving around inside panniers or bags while the padding protects anything else you may be carrying.
Compatible with all the 1000 series D-locks, it was something of a squeeze to fit the chunkier DX1000 we’ve been using within the sleeve. But it’s a useful addition to the range and makes carrying your lock around that bit more comfortable.
