What happens when a company with a history of building the racing go-karts F1 champions learn to drive in decides it’s going to build a million pounds plus, track-optimised hypercar?

The Praga Bohema is what happens, the result being perhaps closer to the dream of delivering racing car thrills in a road-legal package than most hypercars claiming the same. As Rory finds out, having first navigated a ‘door’ he describes as being more like a cat flap than what you get on most supercars. At least it’s cosy once you’re behind the wheel.

Because here’s the thing – the Bohema doesn’t have the biggest, fanciest or most powerful engine in the hypercar world. It in fact uses a repurposed Nissan V6. OK, it’s from the fearsome 'Godzilla' GT-R and upgraded by British specialists Litchfield to deliver over 700 horsepower. But, on paper, that’s nothing special in this day and age.
