BMW has long claimed to build the ultimate driving machines, but is the M3 CS Touring the ultimate version of the 3 Series? Rory Reid finds out in this video.
Costing almost three times as much as an entry-level 3 Series Touring and over £30,000 more than a regular M3 version, the M3 CS Touring commands an asking price of nearly £130,000. So, what tweaks could BMW possibly have made to this medium-size family wagon to justify such a chunky lump sum? Well, for a start there’s the increase in performance giving the M3 CS Touring 551 horsepower from its six-cylinder, twin-turbo engine. Then there’s the sharpened design which not only looks more aggressive but improves the aerodynamics. Plus, upgrades to the brakes, exhaust and suspension are thrown into the mix. Inside, there’s a bespoke interior with an Alcantara steering wheel, sports seats and red CS flourishes. But what is it like to drive and will it impress Rory?
