  • Audi SQ5 Great Deal

    Bought an Audi SQ5 from the team at QCC around February this year. Except for a small negotiation on the tyres which was to be expected they honoured the value they placed on my car even though they hadn't seen it. I travelled from Chester to Wickford and they provided an excellent service and the vehicle has been great to date. Full recommended.

    My experience with Quirks was painful. I chose the online chat facility and asked for the VIN of a car and gave them my email address and was told that they would send it on. I chased them up on two more occasions without success and decided to try for a fourth and final time. After being advised three times that it would be sent, the fourth request was refused on the grounds of vehicle cloning. I asked them that if I came to them, would they refuse to let me see the registration document or the car itself, that both have the VIN in plain sight? They said, you can come and se the car, but said nothing about the registration document. So even though I had pointed out that I could still make a note of the VIN when viewing the car, and that they had in effect shot themselves in the foot, they still would not co-operate. The reason for wanting the VIN is that a Mercedes mechanic advised me that certain models of the GL class had transmission faults and he could advise accordingly.

As discussed with you, it is not possible to share sensitive data over live chat and ContactAtOnce cannot disclose that information without our permission. Despite requesting your contact number on numerous occasions, you declined to provide it. We have tried to be as helpful as possible and, as you have stated in your review, we did offer for you to come and see us to discuss the vehicle but you have not acted on either of these requests. We understand your goal was to get the VIN over live chat however, understandably, we have policies in place to safeguard our stock and to prevent any risk of vehicle cloning. As previously stated, you are welcome to come and view the car and discuss your concerns about transmission faults with our expert team of salesmen and mechanics.
