Skip to contentSkip to footerThe Nissan Leaf was one of the first truly affordable mass-market electric cars, so there are plenty of used examples available today at a range of prices. Earlier versions have smaller batteries and lower range, but if the battery is in good health they still make good run-arounds for those with a home charger. For those on longer journeys, a second-generation used Nissan Leaf (released after 2018) has larger 40kWh battery as standard for up to 160 miles of range. A used Nissan Leaf is comfortable and spacious enough for a small family (including a decent-sized boot) and, judging by owner reviews, makes one of the best and most affordable options for a first electric car.
