1. Compass Capiro 520
A wonderful washroom and space aplenty.
Thinking of the elbow-destroying caravan showers of yesteryear, the washroom in the Compass Capiro 520 is something to behold. No, really. It's massive, and there's as much storage as you could want for everything from toiletries to clothing. Plus, at 1345kg MTPLM, it's accessible for even the tiniest of tow cars and anyone without their B+E licence. The make-up bed is its only real downside, but when you compare that to the convenience of a capacious interior throughout and even trick touches like an external BBQ point for summer entertaining, there's not a lot to complain about. 2. Elddis Affinity 550
Island bed luxury in four-berths of brilliance.
There's a level of luxury to the four-berth Elddis Affinity 550 that brings the style of a chic hotel room to a touring caravan's single axle. It's a traditional approach in terms of lounge and kitchen layout, but then you get to the en-suite separate shower and washroom before the bedroom, where the island bed retracts for daytime use of space. You can even up the extravagance with the option to upgrade the comfort with a Hypnos mattress. Find a Elddis Affinity 550 here.

3. Adria Adora
Adria's excellent new caravans for sale.
The highlight of Adria's 2021 caravans comes in the form of a generational upgrade for its Adora model. Inside and out, the improvements have raised the bar for the Slovenian brand's best-selling caravan. It will even save you money at the pumps, thanks to adding features such as wind-diffusers that reduce drag. “With the new Adora we took what we learnt from the new Astella and created an outstanding new caravan,” explains Matjaž Grm, Adria Mobil executive director, sales and marketing. “We have improved the comfort, practicality, technology and performance of the Adora, which boasts the largest in-line panoramic window available and is also the most aerodynamic caravan you can buy’’. Four of the new layouts are available in the UK – three four berths and a six berth – boasting elegant interiors and a huge panoramic windows. If you're looking to increase the style stakes on-site then look no further. Find a Adria Adora here.

4. Bailey Phoenix Plus
Bailey boosts its Phoenix caravans.
New for 2021 is Bailey's Phoenix+ range, consisting of six models selected from the best-sellers in the previous Phoenix range. You'll first notice how the grey exterior styling stands out from the crowd in the same way that Bailey's Pursuit did on launch. It's the difference-maker that can easily sway anyone if they're stuck with a decision about similar layouts to choose from. On the inside, cabinetry has had a refresh, with updated styling for both cabinetry and upholstery. And peace of mind from weather worries comes in the form of Truma Combi heating and insulation that has literally been tested in the Arctic on one of Bailey's many challenge adventures around the world. With the sofa sizes at 6ft 2in, it means that they're easily bed-sized if you'd prefer, or you can make up the double for the full level of luxury as you drift off to the land of nod. While the smallest tourer in the range – the 420 – is big on the inside, the 5.56m shipping length and light weight puts it well in the region of a Volkswagen Golf towcar with easy manoeuvrability. 5. Coachman Laser Xcel 845
Coachman's new look tourers bring a new appeal for 2021.
The first UK manufacturer to return to production following pandemic closures, Coachman has brought impressive interiors to market for 2021 that complement the company's new branding. The Coachman Laser Xcel 845 is eight-foot wide, with an island bed surrounded by plenty of storage from two tall wardrobes and top level cabinetry. But it's the cosy L-shaped lounge in a living space that's flooded with natural light that draws the eye, while the black interior walls really stand out in the style stakes. In the kitchen, Coachman's Dometic fridge / freezer opens in both directions to save any awkward shifting around with others in the tourer, too. What's more, with Coachman's Road to Freedom offer for available for a limited time you can get 2021 tourers at 2020 prices. Visit coachman.co.uk for more. Find a Coachman Laser Xcel here.
