1. Bailey Discovery caravan
While there are plenty of used caravans for sale in the Bailey Discovery range from the ’90s for the tourer budget equivalent of sofa change, the real value comes in the pre-loved D4 models from 2020 onwards. Yes, you have to pay a little more, but you’ll get a second-hand caravan that will feel new, more stylish and more space efficient than most other alternatives you’ll find on-site.
Not one for families, the diminutive Discovery D4 two-berth in particular by Bailey offers awning innovations and one of the lightest towing weights you’ll find in the Bristol-based roster – just 995kg. The huge vertical skylight at the front floods natural light into almost the entire interior of the cosy caravan. While some may see its diminutive dimensions as restrictive, to others it will be the perfect mix of manageable space and practicality. First timers can’t do much better than discovering this brilliant Bailey caravan. Find a Bailey Discovery caravan here.

4. Bailey Phoenix+ caravan
With a broad range of models carrying on best-sellers in the previous Phoenix range, Bailey’s Phoenix+ caravans brought airy interiors and great spec for first time tourers. Launched in 2021, the 642 four-berth, end washroom option rang in at just shy of £20,000, meaning that for the next few years it’s a great option of visual appeal and practicality, but with someone else taking the depreciation hit.
In fact, across the whole range for the price, Bailey managed to install a high level of luxury throughout while still managing to keep weights down. The 644 caravan even has a double island bed with a full-width washroom stretching across the rear; all at a floaty-light 1395kg MTPLM. Find a Bailey Phoenix caravan here.

Lighting throughout the interior along with little details such as the model lettering integrated into the design make for stand-out style improvements over your traditional tourer. However, in the Alicanto II, substance is in equal abundance thanks to the seating arrangements and fixed bed options making this caravan feel more like a chic apartment or flat. Definitely one to turn heads every time you pull up on pitch. Find a Bailey Alicanto caravan here.
