Expected better service.
Bought nearly new BMW 5 series. On collection day, car was outside. I have been told that doors for the bay where they presenting cars are broken and they cannot use it. After I went home noticed that the boot has not been cleaned and the tyre pressure is low !! I was expecting a lot better service for Stratstone BMW. Told them about issues but no one got back to me with any sort of compensation.
AVOID STRATSTONE BMW LIKE THE PLAGUE
There was catalogue of errors by numerous staff members a key check was missed from job list and a complimentary clean was not carried out. After these failing Stratstone accepted fault and offered a complimentary £250 and arranged to collect my vehicle the following day which I felt was satisfactory and agreed. My wife waited home, when no one had arrived after lunchtime I called only to be told again that the job had not been booked in, this was rearranged, the car cleaned and the key check done. I was happy these matters were now resolved only to discover the next day my onboard computer system flashed key issue, when I called back to complain again I was informed the key had not been checked merely the battery changed. I was passed onto a senior member of staff, WOW was this guy obnoxious and his management skills appalling. He failed to recognize the further failings and felt the initial £250 covered failings after this was agreed, which is completely bonkers!
Sold a 2 yr old M3 with exhaust hanging off!
Sold a 2 year old M3 car that had an exhaust half hanging off - so much for their "meticulous checks"! Car had been modified but i was not told and paid full market value. No courtesy car arranged for days in garage. Had to return now I'm waiting for my refund. Car back on sale with no mention of being modified!
After eight days, no response to an enqiry, customer service none existant. Not what I would expect from a suposed prestige dealership
Tale of two BMW dealers.
Bought car from Sandal Motors Wakefield, had two occasions to return car for problems under warrany. Not interested, poor service. Stratstone Leeds. Totally diferent experience: First problem was with window trim. Sorted in 24 hrs with a loan car. Second problem Drivetrain error message. Sugested I call BMW emergency number, they attended within 2 hrs, found there was a problem. A loan car was organised, car was booked in, sorted in 48 hrs. I was kept informed what was happening along the way in a polite and professional maner. Well done Stratstone Leeds, you will be my dealer of choice from now on and just as a side issue, my wife has a 10 yer old Merc SLK and has had similar good service at Stratstone Wakefield,
