  • car was sold with brake fault

By lee P on 10 Feb

after purchasing my car from marshalls i instantly noticed there was an issue with the brakes. there is a clear shudder on the pedal and steering wheel, especially at speeds over 40 mph. i booked the car in to be checked under warranty only to be informed that they believe the vehicles brakes have passed their checks. funnily enough the report by the technician clearly says 'can feel a break judder on road test but not so bad at low speed'. no one should be spending £12000 on a car and have to instantly take it for the brakes to be replaced! two independent garages have checked the brakes and found that new pads have been fitted to poor condition discs and on a test drive said that the car has been sold in a not fit for purpose state. i understand that a used car will have brakes of a used standard, but they should be safe and these brakes are clearly not. this dealership is representing vauxhall in a disgraceful way
