  • Go to Evans Halshaw or Sandicliffe instead

    Back in 2018 I wanted to buy a new Mustang and this dealer had a V8 demo car and an Ecoboost in group used stock. I wanted to test drive both, but they simply would not arrange a test drive in the Ecoboost, so I ended up driving 85 miles to Evans Halshaw who similarly had an Ecoboost in group used stock and were more than happy to let me drive it. I bought a brand new mustang there and then from Evans Halshaw! Allen Ford lost a sale. My new car needed Undersealed, but Allen Ford (a Ford Store!) don't have the bodyshop facilities to cater for all the vehicles they sell. Rediculous! Needed a key replaced under warranty, and they wanted me to leave my car with them all day, to do a 10 minute job! Why not schedule jobs properly and not inconvenience customers? Top it off that Courtesy Cars from them are not free. They say you ahve to pay for the admin of the Insurance. Sorry, you have Dealer insurance that covers that, you're instead renting me a car and it's not a Courtesy!

    I have always got on well with Allen Ford Riverside sales team to a point in that I personally think they could do a lot better in trade in deals for me. I have purchased a new every 2/3 years since 1998, with exception of the last car a Ford Fiesta Titanium I purchased in in 2016 the vehicle was a year old with very mileage. I still had to work hard to get a reasonable deal part exchanging a 13 Plate Ford Focus with 13K on the clock from new with full service history. I did achieve the no where near what, in my opinion was a fair or satisfying price for my Focus Perhaps next time they may give a fantastic deal given the amount of money I spent on Ford cars over the years.....
