Video | Rory drives a Mustang Dark Horse CS800DH
The Ford Mustang Dark Horse is an awesome sports car, but what happens when you give it supercar power? Clive Sutton had exactly the same question when it created the awesome CS800DH.

Clive Sutton, founder of Sutton Bespoke, has been a fixture of the UK performance scene since 1985. He specialises in importing, upgrading, and personalising high-performance vehicles for the British market, focusing much of his efforts on American muscle cars and luxury SUVs.
Sutton’s operation combines engineering, increased performance and in-house upholstery. Interiors are retrimmed in leather and Alcantara, with options for carbon detailing and custom embroidery. Every build, including the CS700 and new CS800DH Mustangs, carries a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty alongside Ford’s own. Sutton’s latest build is based on the Ford Mustang Dark Horse, and it’s really something to behold. The CS800DH transforms the 454bhp V8 into an 799PS (788bhp) supercharged powerhouse. A Whipple 3.0-litre supercharger, high-flow injectors, and recalibrated ECU help lift torque to 870Nm. Revised suspension geometry and Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres ensure composure, while a full carbon-fibre body kit; including bonnet, splitter, skirts, diffuser, and rear wing, enhances weight and aerodynamics. Inside, hand-trimmed Recaro seats and bespoke finishes combine racing intent with refinement. Priced from £135,000–£165,000, the CS800DH fuses American muscle with British craftsmanship. As emissions and noise regulations continue to tighten, large-capacity, high-output V8 engines are becoming increasingly rare. But that rarity is part of its appeal. With its manual gearbox, rear-wheel drive, and supercharged V8, the CS800DH embodies an analogue driving experience that’s disappearing from the modern landscape. Its sound, feedback, and mechanical engagement form a connection between driver and machine that electric performance cars, however fast, can’t quite replicate. What do you think about the fate of the V8 in the electric age? Watch Rory’s full review and let us know in the comments.
