We usually see him behind the wheel of an Aston Martin, but should James Bond actually be driving a Porsche Panamera? It’s a question Rory finds himself asking as he gets behind the wheel of this latest version of the luxurious four-door sports saloon, discovering it to be fast, stealthy and packed with tech.
It’s a top contender in its field, but is it enough for 007? Rory Reid finds out in his video review of the 2025 Porsche Panamera Turbo, a quick recap on some of the key details below.
Performance and power
At the heart of the Panamera Turbo E-Hybrid is a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, which pairs with an electric motor for a hefty 930 Nm of torque and an incredibly fast acceleration of 0-62 mph in just 3.2 seconds.
You can almost hear the roar reading that, but the Panamera actually excels in stealth when in full electric mode, and it can drive nearly silently at speeds of up to 87 mph.
Active ride suspension and handling
One of the standout features of the new Panamera is its Active Ride suspension system, which allows each wheel to adjust independently for exceptional body control. Whether you're cornering at high speeds or slamming on the brakes, the Panamera remains level and stable, for a smooth, controlled ride.
The car can even raise or lower its height to enhance comfort and accessibility – perfect for anyone who needs a little extra ease getting in and out.
Sophisticated tech features
We haven’t found the ejector seat, but we think Q would be pleased with the cutting-edge technology offered in the Panamera. Catering to both comfort and convenience, standout features include the wireless phone charger, which is kept cool with constant airflow to prevent overheating.
The car also comes with massaging seats, high-definition, high-resolution touch-screens featuring apps like Netflix and weather updates, and a 3D reversing camera with a lens-cleaning function.
Price and value
The Panamera isn't cheap, starting at around £88,000 for the Turbo E-Hybrid version.
A lot of money, but seemingly a lot of car, too. Watch the video for Rory’s full review, and subscribe on YouTube for more exclusive news and reviews.
