The Auto Trader YouTube channel has reached the fantastic one million subscriber landmark, so to celebrate we’ve made a very special video. In it, our three presenters Rory Reid, Alex Legouix and Alex Kersten bring together an amazing range of cars spanning from £1000 to… you’ve guessed it, £1,000,000.
What ties them together - aside from them all being available to buy on Auto Trader - is that they’re all brilliant driver’s cars, each in their own way. But just how different is a cheap sports car versus one that costs seven figures? You'll have to watch the video to find out, but we can tell you now that the answer isn’t as clear-cut as you might assume. Here’s what you’ll see in the video:

Audi TT

The original TT is a genuine icon of design, and you can pick one up for peanuts these days. How well has it aged?

BMW Z4 Coupe

Rear-wheel drive, a lovely manual gearbox and a wonderful 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine make the Z4 coupe a proper driver’s car. And a bargain one at that.

Toyota GR86

The GR86 is the best value new sportscar on sale today – it’s cheaper than a Vauxhall Corsa electric. Surely there must be SOMETHING wrong with it, right?

Porsche 911 Carrera T

There are quicker and more driver-focussed 911s on sale, but the Carrera T is arguably the best version, pound-for-pound. How does it stack up in this company, though?

Ferrari 296 GTB

Ferrari’s current ‘entry-level’ car is a technical marvel, a petrol-electric hybrid featuring the company’s first ever production V6 engine. But is it too complex for its own good?

Ford GT

It’ll set you back at least half a million quid for a Ford GT today – but boy is it worth the money. An absolute spaceship of a design matched to one of the world’s great engines.

McLaren Senna

When you put this name to a car, it better live up to it. The Senna does, and then some. A glorious thing to behold and, frankly, one of the most visceral driving experiences ever created. So, you NEED to check this video out. And if you’ve not subscribed already, click here to do that – and hit the notification bell to make sure you’re always up to date with the latest Auto Trader videos. Nobody does cars quite like we do. Enjoy.
