There’s fierce competition to win the EV top spot, but winning the luxury EV crown is a whole new battle in itself. From latest tech, design and innovation, the BMW i7 and Mercedes EQS represent the respective brands’ finest flagship models.
Most prominently, the i7 breaks new ground in the luxury car class with its incredible 31.3-inch widescreen Theatre Display. As it seamlessly emerges from the headlining, passengers can cruise in the back whilst feeling like they’re at the cinema. And with a claimed range of up to 387 miles of pure electric range, 544 horsepower, crystal headlights and a deluxe lounge atmosphere, it’s a strong contender against the EQS. On paper, Mercedes’ four-door saloon boasts even range with 453 miles, and somehow manages to conserve it so effortlessly alongside outstanding performance on the road. It doesn’t quite match the i7 with its 333 horsepower but as they say, slow and steady wins the race. It’s the most aerodynamic car currently in production, and its smooth and silent ride certainly reflects this. With a range of five trim levels, beautiful inside and out, the EQS showcases full interior leather, a double panoramic sunroof, heated seats front and rear and an array of controls. Which will win out? Let Rory be the judge! And if you enjoyed this video don’t forget to comment, like and subscribe to the YouTube channel for more.
