More about Ivan Aistrop
Ivan has been a professional journalist since 2000, working for the vast majority of that time in the area of motoring. After initially cutting his teeth on local newspapers, he joined What Car? in 2004, where he would stay for the next nine years. He worked in a variety of roles during that time, but spent the majority of his tenure as a road tester. He joined Auto Trader in 2013, and as Road Test Editor, he is responsible for all of Auto Trader’s car review content.
Having spent several years at the very cutting edge of British motoring journalism, Ivan has driven and tested most of the models that the car market has to offer. His broad experience and knowledge means he’s perfectly placed to provide Britain’s motorists with expert buying advice. However, he prides himself most on his rare ability to judge cars purely on the needs of the car buyer, rather than on his own preferences, an ethos that’s reflected in all Auto Trader reviews. When he’s not busy driving cars, he’s kept (extremely) busy by his two young children.
