Start a new lease
If you want to start a new lease with a new vehicle when your current lease ends, here's how it works:
- Order your new lease vehicle online or over the phone with Autotrader.
- Call or email us to book collection of your current lease vehicle, which we'll coordinate with the delivery of your new one.
Make sure your current lease vehicle is in a good condition to hand back to us. Learn about fair wear and tear.
Extend your current lease
There are two ways you can extend your lease with the same vehicle: a formal extension and an informal extension.
- A formal extension is where you keep the same vehicle but sign a new lease agreement.
- An informal extension is where you continue paying for your vehicle without making a formal agreement with the funder.

End your lease
If you've decided you don't want to lease again with Autotrader or Vanarama, you can hand the vehicle back when your agreement ends. Here's how it works:
- Contact us to book collection of your vehicle.
- Make sure your current lease vehicle is in a good condition to hand back to us. Learn about fair wear and tear.

Contract Hire ('Leasing') is subject to status and approval and is only available to UK residents aged 18 and over. Vehicle must be returned with no more than fair wear and tear to avoid further charges. You will not own the vehicle. Excess mileage charges and return conditions apply.
