TUCSON Hybrid: Electrifying efficiency
TUCSON's hybrid engine uses electric power to help you go further on a litre of petrol - all without you having to charge a battery or change your driving habits. With both a petrol engine and a battery-powered electric motor, it has a full-parallel hybrid drive system. As well as the Hybrid, you can also choose the Plug-in Hybrid variant.
Electric motor
The powerful 44.2 kW electric motor delivers 265 Nm of instant torque, which adds a sporty electric edge to the Hybrid TUCSON's acceleration and performance.
Battery
The 1.49 kWh lithium-ion polymer battery stores electricity generated by the regenerative braking system, which is then used to power the electric motor.
Petrol engine
The 1.6 litre T-GDi engine features Hyundai's unique Continuously Variable Valve Duration tech, which optimises engine performance and fuel efficiency.
Premium Driving Experience
The TUCSON features its signature grille with integrated daytime running lights, along with refreshed front and rear bumpers and a redesigned wheel line-up across all trims.
Front
The grille seamlessly encases the signature daytime running lights, which illuminate when the vehicle is switched on.

The multipurpose LED rear combination lamp combines several functions including position lamp, brake light and indicator.
Enhanced comfort and convenience
The interior design features a 3-point steering wheel, and incorporates a Shift by Wire driver selector, enhancing the driving experience. The interior brings upgraded convenience and aesthetic appeal, with a wireless phone charger now integrated in the front armrest and climate controls.
Shift by Wire (SBW)
Shift by Wire is an intuitive electronic drive mode-changing system located next to the steering wheel that features a rotary-type dial. Available on automatic and hybrid only.
Dual 12.3” digital screens
New TUCSON has an upgraded interior with dual curved 12.3" digital screens that showcase the new look infotainment graphics and digital driver display.
NEXT LEVEL CONNECTIVITY

Plug-in hybrid
You can charge the TUCSON Plug-in Hybrid at a public charging station, a home wall box or via a domestic wall socket. You can also check on your charging via the Bluelink® app.
Switching from ev to petrol
Once the charge in the 13.8 kWh battery is depleted, it switches seamlessly back to the petrol engine so you can go as far as you need to - and plug in to recharge the battery when you reach your destination.
