2021 has seen a huge increase in new electric vehicle sales, with this year seeing 86% year-to-date increase in the volume of new electric vehicles registered compared to 20201.
We’ve also seen demand for electric vehicles surge on our marketplace, with nearly a fifth of all new car advert views being for an electric vehicle.
But whilst sales are heading in the right direction, there is still much that needs to be done to drive electric vehicle adoption before the 2030 ban on the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles.
