Best vans and pick-up trucks coming in 2026

2026 will have as many new van and pick-up truck launches as 2025 did! Here’s the best of what’s coming

And we thought 2025 was a busy year for new vans and pick-up trucks. 2026 and beyond looks just as crowded! There’s no need for a big preamble… let’s get into the best of what’s coming.

Renault Estafette, Trafic and Goelette

Renault debuted its three future electric van models at this year’s Commercial Vehicle Show in Birmingham. All three models (Trafic, Goelette and Estafette) were developed by Flexis and use the same new all-electric skateboard platform that can be adapted to a variety of body styles. Each van will feature 800V technology allowing for charges of 15 to 80 per cent to be achieved in just under 20 minutes for a potential range of up to 280 miles (although this range is not yet official). Trafic E-Tech will have a load capacity of 5.1-5.8 cubic metres and looks great with futuristic styling and a striking interior. Goelette will share the same platform and cab as the Trafic E-Tech and be capable of carrying loads of up to 1.4 tonnes, enabling it to be customised in any way Renault decides, with a chassis cab, high-volume box and extended cab versions planned to be mass produced. And finally, the Estafette is a very tall van standing at 2.60m high and featuring a walk-through design from cabin to load space allowing a driver who’s 1.9m tall to stand upright inside the vehicle. The sliding doors and rear roller shutter are interesting design choices, practical for the use cases of delivery, and definitely make the vehicle stand out. Very exciting times ahead for Renault.

Toyota Hilux BEV

The new Toyota Hilux is a full-on ninth-generation. From 2026, this new version of the iconic truck will come in BEV, hybrid, hydrogen fuel cell and traditional combustion flavours. The BEV we tested in 2025 promises around 150 miles of range, a payload just over 700kg, and a VERY smart set of 4x4 technologies. We tried a left-hand-drive prototype of the BEV, which gave us a solid glimpse of what UK buyers can expect. Range-wise it’s not the highest by a stretch, but the competition can’t match Toyota’s 10-year warranty or the new generation’s genuinely clever off-road tech. UK sales kick off in the second quarter of 2026. We were impressed, especially with the intelligent 4x4 capabilities.

Iveco eJolly and eSuperJolly

The Stellantis electric van platforms get another roll out in 2026 with Iveco taking on the medium and large van bodies and turning them into the eJolly and eSuperJolly, respectively. eJolly is a rebadged version of electric medium vans like the Peugeot E-Expert, providing a payload of nearly 1200 kg and a range of 139-218 miles (depending on battery size chosen). The eSuperJolly, meanwhile, is a large electric van akin to the Vauxhall Movano Electric, providing a 1400 kg payload and a range of up to 260 miles. It will complete Iveco’s electric van lineup, sitting alongside the powerful Iveco eDaily.

Kia PV7

Following the successful launch of its PV5 Cargo and PV5 Passenger small electric vans, Kia has confirmed that a larger electric van called the PV7 will most likely launch in 2027, but we’ll no doubt see it in 2026 if the website is anything to go by. It will be larger than the PV5, building on the lessons that the first van will have taught the company. Definitely one to watch!

KGM Musso EV

Building on the solid foundations of the diesel-powered KGM Musso pick-up truck, and looking over its shoulder at the Isuzu D-Max EV and upcoming Toyota Hilux BEV, comes the Musso EV. We’re going to get our first drive in January 2026, and can’t wait to see what it will offer. Early details show it will offer quite a bit more (on paper) than competitors with its 80.6 kWh battery providing a range of around 249 miles on a single charge, if you drive in two-wheel-drive mode. That’s nearly 100 miles more than the Toyota and around 60-80 more than the Isuzu… interesting, eh?

New Mercedes-Benz electric vans

Finally, following our trip to see the new Mercedes-Benz Sprinter in boulder form (click the link and you’ll see what we mean…), we’re looking forward to seeing what the company’s new electric van architecture will produce. We were told that the first fully electric models will start with the new VLE, and commercial vehicles using the new platform will follow later.
