BMW M4 Convertible 2014‑2017(1 review)

Had been in the market for a new car for a couple of months and just by the off chance popped into BMW garage to see what their latest offering was.
As soon as I saw the M4 I realised I had to have one.
It looks subtle from the front and side and the only time people realise it is more powerful than their car is when they see the standard quad exhausts associated with the M series.
I have had an S5, Z4, RX8 as my first 3 cars but this is a different kettle of fish all together. The handling is fantastic (even in the wet) unlike the Z4 which was scary going through roundabouts and is much lighter feeling than the heavy Audi. The semi-auto is a must have over the manual (never thought I would say that!).
You can set up the car to suit your driving style, there are two buttons on steering wheel whereby with a flick of one you enter your preset mode. I have the M1 button as economy and M2 button as full race mode. As soon as I hit the M2 the exhaust noise is ampilified and you will get more heads turning.
I have driven (not owned) Porsches, Ferraris previously and although you get the occasional "nice car" you also get a lot of nasty abuse shouted at you where as in the M4 I have only ever had compliments through thumbs up to verbal approval. It makes sitting in the traffic with your roof down more fun !
I am getting around 30-31mpg which is thanks to it being only a 3.0 (twin turbos to ramp up the power).
I have raced literally everything bar the supercars and have easily won apart from the C63 AMG, despite him having a V8 compared to ## ##, an extra 100+bhp and my hard top taking my 0-62 up from 4.1 to 4.3 seconds we were neck and neck for 20 miles, and despite him starting ahead of me ended up letting me overtake (not used to someone sticking to him like glue).
Brilliant car for a very reasonable price.
