Very nice car.I like it, but is to small for 5 people. I have used it for 4 years and I have never had any trouble with it.

Bearing in mind that Alfa Romeos of this era have a reputation of being unreliable, especially with the electrics, I have found this not to be the case. I do have the car regularly serviced and the cambelts changed (twice) as the prescribed intervals the only other parts replaced have been exhaust and clutch and i recently had the air con unit overhauled. Considering the car is over 10 years old you do expect to replace certain parts.

The finish in the interior of the car plastics could be a lot better and not up to the standards of its competitors.

As a car user that only carries occasionally more than one passenger it suits my lifestyle but the rear room is not suitable for large adults.

What did surprise me about the boot was that I was able to ftr in two sets of golf clubs, bags and shoes easily without having to fold the back seats down

The cars is great to drive and comfortable, mainly due to the leather seats, over long distances, i have regularly driven it from London to Inverness and does include during the winter 09-10 in blizzard conditions and it performed without any problem.

I do keep an eye on the oil level as recommend in the handbook and again this has not been an issue.

The big downside is the running costs as parts tend to be more expensive and the fuel consumption not as good as it peers. I average 25-27 mpg in a mixture of london (65%) and country (35%) driving. the best I have recorded on motorway driving is 35mpg. Add to this the £200 road fund licence and the costs can be high

These cars are relatively cheaper to buy than their contemporaries and if you can find one that has been properly serviced , able to put up with the higher running costs and like to drive something different from the crowd then this car can provide an unusual alternative choice
