1. Tattershall Lakes, Tattershall, Lincolnshire
The Tattershall Lakes campsite offers enthralling activities and entertainment and is the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful countryside of Lincolnshire. For the water sports enthusiast, there are several lakes that have been set aside for waterboarding, jet skiing and water skiing, or if you are looking for something more tranquil, there are some great fishing spots too.

There is a wide range of static caravans available on site, which can sleep up to eight people and are suitable for all budgets, plus there is an adapted unit for those with disabilities.
Other facilities include a gym, an indoor heated swimming pool, a spa, a shop, a laundrette, hot tubs, and outdoor entertainment area and several bars including the Spitfire Bar and Propeller Bar, with snooker and pool tables and free Wi-Fi.
2. Woodhill Park, East Runton, Norfolk
Situated close to Cromer on the north-eastern tip of the Norfolk coast lies Woodhill Park, which provides a wide range of pitches and accommodation and quality amenities.

There are a number of static caravans to choose from, and they sleep 4 to 6 people, have sea views, fully fitted kitchens and central heating throughout.
Amenities on site include a small shop, a laundrette, showers and toilets, crazy golf, tennis courts, a large recreation field, a play area that offers giant draughts and chess boards and much more.
3. Craigtoun Meadows Holiday Park, St. Andrews, Scotland
This award-winning park is set in 32 acres of land and is just a short way from the town of St. Andrews and offers a peaceful relaxing break thanks to its quiet location. Surrounded by majestic countryside, there are several woodland walks and tranquil ponds that are ideal for the wildlife enthusiast, with many varieties of birds to be found.
Thanks to the owner’s consistently high standards, this park has for over 20 years been awarded five stars by the Visit Scotland website, and won the AA campsite of the year on many occasions. In addition to this, the AA has awarded the park five platinum pennants and has been a David Bellamy Conservation Scheme award winner for over 18 years.
Accommodation and amenities
Each static caravan comes with three bedrooms, an open-plan living area and can sleep up to six people with two twins and one double bedroom, a shower room and two toilets. On-site you will find a café/restaurant, a games room, a laundry room, golf facilities, internet access and disabled facilities.
4. White Tower Holiday Park, Caernarfon, Gwynedd, Wales
Set in the heart of North Wales, the White Tower Holiday Park is just minutes from both a stunning beach and the imposing sight of Snowdonia’s mountains. This is a perfect base for exploring the wild and rugged North Wales coastline, including the nearby village of Portmerion, famous for its world-renowned pottery and as the setting for the 1960’s television show, The Prisoner.
Accommodation and amenities
This is a static caravan only site, so you will not have to worry about sharing it with motorhomes and unsightly tents, and all caravans sleep up to eight people, plus pets are allowed.
On-site facilities include a games room, horse riding, fishing, entertainment, a laundry, internet access, a swimming pool and facilities for the disabled, and there is also a public house nearby.
5. St. Ives Bay Holiday Park, Hayle, Cornwall
This family-orientated park is just 20 minutes away from the picturesque town of St. Ives on the northern coast of Cornwall and its rugged scenery and sandy beaches. In fact, this park even has its own private access to a golden beach, which is perfect for those wanting to spend the day lounging by the sea.

There is a range of on-site static caravans to choose from, and they can cater for a maximum of seven people. On the site, the amenities include a café/restaurant, crazy golf, a games room, a swimming pool, a children’s play area, a shop, entertainment and internet access.
For those looking for an evening outside the park, there is a pub close by, as well as many shops, pubs and restaurants in nearby Hayle, or even further afield in St. Ives itself.
