BUSINESS RULES ("RULES")
In these Rules, unless the context otherwise requires, the following terms have the following meanings:
- “Baseline Stock” means the contracted number of stock the Qualifying Advertiser holds as at 23:59 on 13 October 2026;
- “Economy Stock” has the meaning set out in Autotrader Packages;
- "Economy Stock Offer" means the promotion operated by Autotrader which allows Qualifying Advertisers to purchase additional Economy Stock (in addition to their Baseline Stock) for the duration of the Offer Period at a discount of 50%;
- "Offer Period" means the period starting from when the Economy Stock Offer is taken up during the Sign-Up Period and continuing for a period of four consecutive weeks after that;
- “Qualifying Advertisers” means Advertisers who:
- have been invited by Autotrader to join the Economy Stock Offer; and
- are independent car and van dealers only (excluding Northern Ireland), who currently have an Advertising Agreement with Autotrader;
- “Sign-Up Period” means the period between 14th October 2026 and 13th November 2026 (inclusive); and
- "Stock Upgrade" means the Economy Stock advertising slots a Qualifying Advertiser buys as tactical stock during the Offer Period in addition to their Baseline Stock. Qualifying Advertisers can purchase up to 100% of their Baseline Stock amount as Economy Stock.
- The Economy Stock Offer is available to Qualifying Advertisers who sign-up for the Economy Stock Offer during the Sign-Up Period, subject to these Rules and the Main Advertising Terms and Conditions. In order to sign up to this Economy Stock Offer, a Qualifying Advertiser must contact their Autotrader account manager.
- A Qualifying Advertiser can adjust the amount of Economy Stock that they advertise (either up or down, up to a maximum of 100% of their Baseline Stock) during the Offer Period, but the Qualifying Advertiser must advertise at least one Economy Stock in order to qualify for the Economy Stock Offer. Qualifying Advertisers will no longer qualify for the Economy Stock Offer if they cancel all their Economy Stock (so they have zero Economy Stock advertised) at any time during the Stock Offer and they will not be able to re-join the Economy Stock Offer later.
- Qualifying Advertisers may upgrade their Baseline Stock during the Offer Period in accordance with the Main Advertising Terms and Conditions.

- If a Qualifying Advertiser has given notice to reduce its stock below the Baseline Stock on or after 14 October 2026, then it may become eligible for the Economy Stock Offer if it retracts such notice to reduce its stock (as applicable) and returns to a stock level on or above the Baseline Stock, prior to signing-up to the Economy Stock Offer provided that the downgrade has not been completed in Autotrader's system. Downgrades to below the Baseline Stock made after 14 October 2026 which have been actioned in Autotrader's system cannot be retracted for the purposes of this clause and the Advertiser will not be eligible for the Economy Stock Offer.
- Where Qualifying Advertisers operate as a group, the Baseline Stock must be maintained across the group during the Offer Period.
- After the Offer Period has ended, any Economy Stock advertised by the Qualifying Advertiser will be charged at the full rate card for that stock.
- Qualifying Advertisers who wish to cancel their participation in this Economy Stock Offer during the Offer Period must contact their account manager to do so. If a Qualifying Advertiser does cancel their participation, they will not be able to re-join the Economy Stock Offer later.
- If a Qualifying Advertiser participates in this Economy Stock Offer, they will not be eligible to participate in the same or a similar offer in future.
- Any associated costs will be detailed via order confirmation and invoice.
- Communication regarding the Economy Stock Offer may be received via phone, email, Portal or from your Account Manager.
- Autotrader reserves the right to allow or refuse to allow any Qualifying Advertiser to participate in the Economy Stock Offer at its sole discretion, or to remove any Qualifying Advertiser from the Economy Stock Offer if Auto Trader determines the Qualifying Advertiser has outstanding late payments in respect of their Advertising Agreement (until such time as such outstanding amounts are paid).
- Qualifying Advertisers cannot advertise stock in connection with the Economy Stock Offer on behalf of a third party or another dealer.
- Qualifying Advertisers that breach these Rules may be charged Autotrader's standard rate card for the duration of the Offer Period in respect of any stock (including retrospectively).
- Autotrader reserves the right to make changes to these Rules at any time and shall give Qualifying Advertisers at least 15 days' notice of any such changes in accordance with clause 2.4 of the Main Advertising Terms and Conditions.
- Autotrader reserves the right to remove or extend the Economy Stock Offer at any point with immediate effect.
